Dictionary Definition
Irony
Noun: Amusing incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs.
Usage example: At the point when you've spent 6 years writing scientific articles, you find out that your most oft-quoted article is the nerd joke you wrote two years ago when you were bored with your research. You find that tens of people in places like StumbleUpon and del.icio.us have tagged and shared it, and you find hundreds of quotations when you google for it.
Great. Just great.

I hope that that was not your 15 minutes of fame.
"What should be automated?" is a good question, but it cannot possibly beat the charm of flashing lights :)
Also digg has it listed.
