A thought for my student peers;
if you understand all the articles and books written on your topic but don't understand what your thesis supervisor tells you, then it's about time to think about changing your thesis supervisor.
The reason why you don't understand what your supervisor says is irrelevant. It doesn't matter why (s)he isn't able to help you. It only matters that (s)he isn't able to help you.
If the task of a thesis supervisor is to help you with your work, for what do you need a supervisor whom you don't understand?
