I've lately been amused by a fiery debate between Finnish medical doctors and proponents of alternative medicine. The MDs have delivered a broadside against all forms of medicine that are not sanctified by the Western science. Even intuitive, commonsensical forms of therapy such as aromatherapy, acupuncture, and yoga have been dragged to mud. I don't know about others but the smell of dung makes me nauseous, needles sting, and chilling out relaxes me.
What is more, the doctors seem to forget that the history of the Western medicine also includes hidious pseudoscientific "treatments" -- for an outsider it seems more like a history of inquisition or penology than a history of healing.
The blind faith that scientists have on Science would be kinda disarmingly sweet if it wasn't so freaking dangerous.

I find that in Finland medicine is awful. Not drugs, but doctors. They are unqualified. If your leg broken, they just tell you that you need to drink burana, and thats it.
I'm saying that because I several times visited doctor here and was unsatisfied. Even some of my friends have legal proceedings and won.
My friend worked at the Finnish Army hospital. He told me that if you break your leg in the Army, the doctors give you Valium. Your leg will still be broken but it won't matter.
